RAPID CITY, S.D. – The Rapid City Common Council will recognize the Rapid City Stevens Girls Tennis Team at tonight’s council meeting following another championship season.
The Raiders recently captured the State Class AA Girls Tennis Championship, marking their third consecutive state title and their fifth championship in the past six years.
Coached by Jason Olson, the team placed first, second, or third in all nine flights of competition during the state tournament held earlier this month in Rapid City.
The championship is the ninth state girls tennis title in school history for Rapid City Stevens.
The recognition ceremony is scheduled for the beginning of tonight’s Rapid City Common Council meeting, which starts at 6:30 p.m. in the City Hall Council Chambers.
