PUKWANA, S.D. – A Wisconsin man has died following a single-vehicle crash Friday on Interstate 90 near Pukwana in central South Dakota.
According to the South Dakota Highway Patrol, the driver of a Ford F-250 was traveling westbound near mile marker 273 when the vehicle drifted toward the median. Authorities say the driver attempted to correct, but the pickup crossed the median crossover and rolled over.
The driver suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene.
A passenger in the vehicle was transported to a Chamberlain hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
The names of those involved have not yet been released as authorities work to notify family members.
The South Dakota Highway Patrol continues to investigate the crash.
