RAPID CITY, S.D. — A survey of City of Rapid City employees shows strong support for the Milwaukee Brewers as this year’s World Series gets underway.
According to the informal survey, nearly two-thirds of respondents, 64.5 percent, believe the Brewers will defeat the Tampa Bay Rays in the championship series. Just 9.7 percent picked the Rays to win, while about one-quarter of participants selected a “Who’s Playing?” option, indicating they had no preference between the two teams.
Employees also weighed in on how long they expect the series to last. The most popular prediction was six games, chosen by 42.8 percent of respondents. Another 25 percent forecast a full seven-game series, while smaller groups predicted the matchup would end in five games or result in a four-game sweep.
