RAPID CITY, S.D. – Drivers in Rapid City should prepare for traffic impacts on Jackson Boulevard beginning Monday as SDN Communications starts utility work in the area.
The project involves directional boring along a multi-block stretch of Jackson Boulevard and will require the closure of the westbound outside lane between West Main Street and Mountain View Road.
Officials say traffic will continue to move through the area, but motorists are encouraged to use extra caution and expect possible delays during construction.
The work is scheduled to begin Monday and is expected to continue through November 13.
Drivers are encouraged to plan ahead and allow extra travel time while the lane closure remains in effect.
