NEW UNDERWOOD, S.D. – The South Dakota Department of Transportation is inviting residents to learn more about proposed reconstruction projects along Interstate 90 in western South Dakota.
SDDOT will host a public open house on November 17th in New Underwood to discuss plans for rebuilding I-90 from two miles east of New Underwood to four miles west of Wasta.
The proposed project includes reconstruction of the interstate, replacement of bridges, improvements to local roads crossing I-90, and the removal of entrance and exit ramps at the Exit 88 interchange.
The meeting will begin at 5:30 p.m. Mountain Time at the New Underwood Community Center. Following a presentation, transportation officials will be available to answer questions and discuss project details with residents.
SDDOT says the meeting is intended to provide information and gather public input before work moves forward on the major corridor improvement project.
